Empowering Through Educational Equity
RightWalk’s Flagship Initiative

The Cornerstone of Equity
Right to Education Section 12.1.(c)
Every child deserves to learn and grow, regardless of their socio-economic background. RTE Act Section 12.1.(c) ensures this by mandating 25% of private school seats for children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups. With government-backed support, they gain access to quality education unlocking a future filled with opportunities.

RightWalk's Revolutionary Impact on RTE
Our journey with RTE has been transformative, marked by significant milestones:
Pioneering Legal Reforms
We have challenged private school resistance through legal interventions, won a landmark Supreme Court judgement, paving the way for crucial policy reforms that ensure fair admissions.
Technological Breakthroughs
In collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government and NIC, we developed an Integrated RTE Online Admission System, transforming admissions with transparency and scalability.
Enhancing Educational Inclusion
In partnership with the UP government and UNICEF, we trained 5000 educators across 75 districts through Social Inclusion Workshops, promoting inclusive teaching and ensuring every child feels valued.
Beyond Admission
EPInc creates inclusive classrooms by delivering AI-driven, peer-based learning and ensuring students are integrated, supported, and empowered.
Building Community Ties
Leveraging initiatives from the Department of Health, Volunteers, NGOs and Helpline, we made the RTE Act a household name, driving awareness and inclusion.
Awakening Awareness
From policy to practice, we ensured the RTE Act reached communities, transforming words into action and changing lives.
Impact
In partnership with Uttar Pradesh’s basic education department, we scaled RTE’s impact, benefiting 9,50,000 children and reaching a self-sustaining, transformative phase.
A Legacy of Change
A Legacy of Change in Uttar Pradesh
In a state that holds nearly 30% of India’s RTE seats, we have turned challenges into stepping stones. What began with just 54 admissions in 2014 has now grown to over 9,50,000 in 2025. But this isn’t just about numbers—it’s about real children, real families, and real dreams taking flight.
We have fought resistance, built trust, and created a transparent system that ensures every child regardless of socio-economic background has a place in the classroom. For us, RTE isn’t just a policy; it’s a movement. Every child we reach is a step closer to a world where opportunity isn’t a privilege but a right.
A Landmark Victory: The Supreme Court Win of 2015
2015 was a turning point for RightWalk and the RTE movement—a year that changed the future of education in India. A landmark Supreme Court victory didn’t just uphold a law; it sent a powerful message that every child, no matter their background, deserves a fair shot at quality education.
This wasn’t just a legal win—it was a win for millions of children who had been denied their rightful place in classrooms. This ruling became the foundation of our work, strengthening our advocacy and inspiring schools across the country to embrace inclusivity.

Innovation Recognized: The CIG eGov Award
Our tech-driven solutions are making a real difference. The Integrated RTE Online Admission System, a game-changer in Uttar Pradesh, was nationally recognized with the prestigious CIG eGov Award. But this isn’t just about an award—it’s about impact.
This system has transformed how admissions work, making the process smoother, fairer, and more transparent for millions of families. It ensures that no child is left behind due to paperwork or red tapism. More than just a tool, it’s proof that technology can drive social change. Today, it stands as a model for other states, showing how digital innovation can open doors to education for all.

Expanding Horizons: Our RTE Efforts in Gujarat
Gujarat has been a key part of our mission since 2022, where we are expanding access to quality education through RTE 12.1(c) and transforming classrooms with EPInc.
Across Gujarat, we are working closely with the government to ensure every child gets a fair chance at education. Our dedicated team has built strong partnerships with government departments, 60 NGOs, and hundreds of volunteers.
From turning Anganwadis into information hubs to using auto-rickshaws as mobile awareness messengers, we are driving change at every level.
These efforts have seen underprivileged children now sit in classrooms they once only dreamt of—proving that collaboration and community engagement create lasting impact.
