Universal Children’s Day

UP GOVT LAUNCHES TWO EDUCATION EMPOWERING RWF’S INITIATIVES

Uttar Pradesh Government launched two education empowering RWF’s initiatives on Universal Children’s Day 2016 to vitalize the 12(1)(c)section of Right to Education Act implementation infrastructure in the state.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated first scheme at Lok Bhawan by presenting ₹5,000 cheques to almost 100 underprivileged children for sponsoring their basic education expenses.

Under the first scheme, financial assistance of ₹5,000 was provided to primary school kids from below poverty line (BPL) category enrolled in private schools.

On the same occasion, an RTE admission online portal (http://rte25.upsdc.gov.in/), developed in trio collaboration of NIC-RWF- state government was rolled out. The launched online interface aims at ensuring the RTE application and admission process transparent and convenient.

Both the schemes were launched on November 20, 2016 at event organised by RightWalk Foundation.
