NATIONAL YOUTH DAY
Honorable Chief Minister Shri Akhilesh Yadav launched an impactful Youth Project – ‘My School My Voice’ on the occasion of National Youth Day on Jan 12, 2015. He addressed a gathering of around 500 people under Youth Connect program and unveiled powerful Youth Empowerment projects in collaboration with a group of organizations – Bharat Abhyudaya Foundation (BAF), Eighteen Pixels India and Lifeset Inc.
To formally endorse the “MY SCHOOL MY VOICE” initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government on Jan 12, 2015 on the occasion of National Youth Day in a statewide event jointly organized by BAF and UP Government at the Chief Minister’s Residence. This initiative recognizes students as the change makers of their school system.
Uttar Pradesh Government, selected students from around 50 government schools, Bharat Abhyudaya Foundation (BAF), Eighteen Pixels India and Lifeset Inc.
Around 2000 young students from 15 government schools wrote letters to the Chief Minister regarding the functioning of their schools and their vision as a school leader.
The Chief Minister felicitated 50 Youth Leaders carefully selected from government schools and personally sent encouraging responses to their letters as cards that read ‘Yuvaon ko Yuva ki Kalam se’.
In his address, the honorable CM said “We are extremely sensitive to the concerns of youth of UP and find it crucial to connect with them directly to address their needs the way they want it”. MSMV creates a link between the government, CM and students and aided in bridging information gaps regarding the status of education.
