NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2015: SCHOOL-STUDENT FOCUSED PROJECT FOR UTTAR PRADESH

Boosting the spirit of National Youth Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, launched a state-wide Youth Project ‘My School My Voice’ on Jan 12, 2015 at his residence.

The MSMV initiative focuses on empowering the school system by recognizing student as the change maker and accepting their effective feedback.

Speaking at the Youth Connect program, which witnessed gathering of around 500 people, the CM said “We are extremely sensitive towards the concerns of UP’s youth and find it crucial to connect with them directly to address their needs the way they want it”.

He added that the project interlinks the UP government, administrative department of schools, and students for speedy mechanism process. The implementation will aid in bridging information gaps regarding the status of education.

Supporting the project, around 2000 young students from 15 government schools wrote letters to the UP government regarding the functioning of their schools and their vision as a school leader.

Further, 50 Youth Leaders selected from government schools were felicitated. CM Akhilesh Yadav personally wrote card ‘Yuvaon ko Yuva ki Kalam se’ as token of appreciation for the received letters.

The celebration of the event also marked official announcement of other powerful youth centric projects, organised with team efforts of Bharat Abhyudaya Foundation (BAF), Eighteen Pixels India and Lifeset Inc.
